Intro to Working Equitation Clinic
Special ‘Fjords Only” Event!
April 27th – 29th 2018
Learn about this exciting new sport that combines dressage and specific trail obstacles in one arena for all disciplines and attires to showcase their horse’s maneuverability, balance, lightness, and power!
See how your fjord is uniquely suited to succeed at and enjoy Working Equitation in the show ring or at home!
Location: Grateful Pine Farm (13620 Old Snohomish Monroe Rd – Snohomish, WA 98290)
Price: $250 per horse for the weekend, includes stabling with bedding, dry camping on site in tents or trailer, lessons/mock show, wine social and intro presentation.
$40 for auditors joining us without a horse, including Friday night wine and learn
We have 3 very talented fjords that can be available as schoolmasters for riders attending horseless. We will make these horses available to experienced riders under 160 pounds, after first filling the clinic spaces with riders on their own horses. Contact Kelly if interested for availability and prices and to see if it’s a good fit.
Friday: Arrive and get settled with stabling and camping.
Friday Night (7-9pm): “What is WE” Presentation in clubhouse with wine and appetizers.
Saturday Morning: Paired up for dressage lessons and skills prep (without obstacles or with training obstacles.) 45 minutes to 1 hour per pair, scheduled ride times.
(can coordinate lunch delivery for socializing in clubhouse and talking strategy, attire, etc.)
Saturday Afternoon: Small group Ease of Handling lessons, 3-5 horses per group. Approx. 2 hours per group.
DINNER (can order pizza to eat in clubhouse and have fire pit, do a potluck, or eat out in town)
Sunday Morning: Mock EOH trial with score cards, talk about scoring, prizes awarded for top scores! Possible Speed Trial demonstration (or practice if people are ready). Free time with obstacles as large group. Packing up to go home.
